AMSAT OSCAR 10
Prior to going to Solomon Islands I had been very active on
OSCAR satellites as G8BCG. In fact, I was fortunate to hear the beacon from the
very first OSCAR in the early 60s at the North West VHF Group in
Manchester.
Oscar 10 was launched into an orbit that really favoured my
location - virtually the whole northern hemisphere was available to me when the
"bird" was near my horizon to the north.

few months of operation.
I have got many hours of audio tape of my
OSCAR 10 activity - I hope to convert it into audio files on this site. Here are just a few recordings of the AO10 downlink -
